Food is the New Rock

Ep. 8 - Ace of Cakes star Duff Goldman stops by Bronson Island to serenade us with Tuvan throat singing, plus acapella versions of his favorite Rusted Root and Spin Doctors songs.  Zach and Chuck take Duff through a full range of emotions, from the time he got bit on the head moshing at a Helmet concert, to the time that Jewel made him cry.  He also comes to the realization that he will never be famous for his bass playing (live on the show!) and urges all his douchebag former bandmates to realize the same about themselves. On a realted note, there is an execessive amount of cursing.

Henry Rollins

Ep. 7 - The former lead singer of Black Flag and the Rollins Band talks to Zach and Chuck about his favorite countries to eat in while touring the world and his newfound love of Fatburger (which may or may not be at odds with his general opinion about the eating habits of Americans.) He also talks about the time he ate rat in Irula and the years he spent living off the dented can aisle in the grocery store up the street from SST Records. Henry also opens up about his clean water works and the passion he has for Drop in the Bucket, a non profit organization dedicated to bringing clean water sources to schools in Africa.

Ep. 6 - World renowned Chef Marcus Samuelsson, winner of Top Chef Masters and Executive Chef of Red Rooster in Harlem, talk to Zach and Chuck P. about what he listened to growing up in Sweden in the 80s, his first kiss (spoiler: it was Olivia Newton John), the first record his mom ever gave him (spoiler: it was Bob Marley) and how his high school girlfriend ditched him for a Prince after party.  Abba, Ace of Bass, and Roxette are also mentioned (naturally.)  His new memoir "Yes, Chef" is in stores now.

Ep. 5 - Ex-Fleet Foxes Drummer Josh Tillman (aka Father John Misty) and Har Mar Superstar stop by the Bronson Island studios to talk to Zach & Chuck P about Macaroni Grill, Cracker Barrel, BBQ'd lasagna, and Josh's forthcoming pizza podcast which may or may not be on Earwolf.  Hear what it's like to tour the country in a bus with two talented lunatics, all from the privacy of your own home.  Plus, as a bonus, they each play live at the end of the show.
